Formulation Development and Characterization of Floating Drug Delivery System of Rosiglitazone Maleate

In the current study, wet granulation with various concentrations and combinations of excipients like magnesium stearate as a lubricant, talc glident, DCP diluent, PVP K 30 binder successfully produced floating tablets rosiglitazone maleate. These included HPMC K15M, xanthan gum, sodium bicarbonate, tartaric acid gas-generating agents. We investigated every pre-compressional parameter, including angle repose, bulk density, Carr's index. Drug content, hardness, friability, weight fluctuation, in-vitro dissolving experiments, qualities, stability investigations were performed on compressed tablets. According to release time increases up 6, 8, 10 hours, respectively, content K15M in formulations F1, F2, F3 is raised. For F4, F5, F6, adding gum raised 7, 9, 11 respectively. F7, F8, F9, was found be increased 10, 12 addition 15 M Xanthan gum. F9 discovered finest formulation since it could maintain for hours. All displayed "n" value Peppa's plot range 0.45 0.89, demonstrating anomalous transport (non-Fickian diffusion) method drug release. The improved (F9) demonstrated stable intact without any contact over course 90 days.
